Displaying an amazingly diverse vocal talent, Steve Green's 24th recording mixes guitar-driven pop, Gregorian chants, symphonic ballads, and Appalachian bluegrass with equal aplomb. The plentiful highlights include Green's gritty performance on "If We Answer," recorded with Out of the Grey's Scott and Christine Dente. Green gets more organic with the Celtic-tinged "Sacrifice of Praise" and the folkloric "O Pilgrim Come," the latter from the top-selling O Brother, Where Art Thou soundtrack. He changes gears once again on "Non Nobis Domine," the big-production chant taken from the Henry V soundtrack. Green seems to revel in Woven in Time's rich sampling of different styles as he takes the listener on a joyful ride. --Michael Lyttle
