Real honors Chapmans vocal range, lyrical diversity and songwriting skills. Chapman wrote eight of the twelve tracks on her CD and produced the entire project. "Heal Me" is finalist in the 2004 Gospel Music Associations Songwriting Competition and the International Songwriting Competition. A corresponding video released worldwide and is in rotation on most major Television networks including BET Video Gospel, Christian Television Network and Gospel Music Television among others.
"Get Into the Flow" has a unique jazz flavor and highlights the talented saxophonist Eddie Baccus Jr. of Pieces of a Dream. "Shake the Devil Off," also written by Chapman, with music by Ryan Lott, has a techno dance beat and its lyrics about struggling relationships has universal appeal. The inspiring "Just One Candle," a duet with daughter Natalie, is destined to be the worlds anthem for peace.
Couples everywhere will pledge their lifelong commitment of love before hundreds to the ultimate wedding song, "Were Giving Our Lives to You First." Saxophonist Ken LeeGrand, of the famed Horns and Things, lends his awesome talent to "Here Am I" a song written by ministry leader Bob Kilpatrick but produced and arranged by Chapman and Drene Ivy.
Although Real speaks primarily to a womans pain while dealing with lifes issues, the CD focuses on universal healing.
