EXPEDITION's new CD "Journey To A Whole New World" presents artful rock and pop that delivers a positive message through thoughtful lyrics and vocals, pulsing beats, stirring keyboard support, and both soft acoustic and stinging electric guitar work. The band is the forum for singer/songwriter Brad Surovec. On their Smokehouse label debut, Brad and his bandmates take the listener through a musical adventure that offers both soft acoustic excursions and intricate, electric-driven joy rides. The CD's message is singularly one of hope and redemption and the tracks "Tell Me" and "I Will Give You Rest" exemplify that in a contemporary, radio-friendly fashion. At times showing influences that include artists like Yes and Genesis, Brad's song structures are at the same time familiar and refreshing.
